Vermont Arts Council

The mission of the Vermont Arts Council is to Cultivate and advance the arts and creativity throughout Vermont. The Arts Council established a Vermont Rapid Response Artist Relief fund to respond to the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on artists across our state. Direct grants will support individual artists experiencing financial hardship due to the loss of a job or cancellation of concerts, festivals, theatrical performances and other arts events.

Vermont Curator's virtual tours was created in response to the COVID-19 crisis, Vermont Art Online is a resource that lets families, students, educators, and the public enjoy Vermont’s museums and galleries from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

  • A great online art tours and resources is Google’s Arts & Culture platform: they have digital documentation of more than 1,200 international institutions. From virtual tours to high definition images of works from the collections, you could get lost for hours on this site.

  • UVM Extension COVID-19/Coronavirus Resources

  • MIT OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a free, publicly accessible, openly-licensed digital collection of high-quality teaching and learning materials

  • Virtual Musical Festival Lady Gaga has raised $35 million in seven days from corporations and philanthropists for the WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. The virtual concert, showing on many networks at 8 pm EST on April 18, will feature dozens of stars including Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Elton John, Chris Martin, Paul McCartney, and Stevie Wonder. It will not be a fundraiser but rather a celebration of "the power of the human" that the pandemic has brought to light.
