Sew for Stowe needs your help! Sew for Stowe: C19 Team Needs Your Help! The Stowe C19 Volunteer Team wants to make sure all Stowe residents are able to follow the CDC recommendation to: wear cloth face coverings in public settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. For all volunteers who are available to sew face masks OR if you can contribute 1/4" round elastic, drop off is at 250B Maple Street (Stowe Counseling sign at end of driveway) on the front porch round table. Meals on Wheels volunteers are needed now more than ever.  The delivery process has changed to allow for social-distancing. Volunteers now call clients to let them know that they are leaving the meal outside of their door.

Grocery Assistance Are you having trouble meeting your daily needs as a result of Covid-19? If you are a resident of Stowe and struggling financially as a result of this pandemic, our community is here to help. We are offering a short-term solution to help provide basic grocery assistance until you receive your unemployment/CARES Act payments. Vermont Foodbank The Foodbank is taking all measures possible to ensure they can be there to help people access food during this challenging time. If you or someone you know is in need of help getting food, click link for a list of resources to help you access food and programs that best fit your needs.

Meal Programs for Older Vermonters: People age 60 and older are especially encouraged to stay at home in order to protect themselves from COVID-19, but staying well-nourished is also critical for your health. To help, you may be able to pick up meals to go or have meals delivered to your home. For more information about meals for older adults, please call the Vermont Foodbank Helpline at 1-800-642-5119.

How to make cloth masks for non-clinical setting

Need a mask? Nancy Small and a contingent of dedicated people in Stowe are making cloth face masks suitable for the general public, our seniors, local institutions and essential retail workers. In lieu of payment, please consider making a donation to a local Covid-19 related charity or purchase a meal for one of our front-line healthcare workers.
